In the Municipality of Monsummano Terme, there’s a place that blends nature, relaxation and sport. This is the Montecatini Golf Club, in the village of Crociali, immersed in a unique and spectacular landscape, nestled between the towns of Cecina and Montevettolini on the slopes of Montalbano, offering incredible views of the landscape for sports and nature enthusiasts alike. Its location in the center of northern Tuscany, at a crossroads between Florence and the coast, is the ideal place to spend relaxing and fulfilling vacations both for single players and for the entire family.
The Club was founded in 1982 by a small group of golf lovers and was designed by the architect Marco Croze. The structure is avant-garde: restaurant, bar and guestrooms, to satisfy every need and enjoy days marked by total relaxation immersed in the natural beauty of the Tuscan countryside.
The itinerary is quite evocative, in the Tuscan countryside with nearly 2,000 olive trees, with a breath-taking view throughout all 18 holes, walking among fruit trees, olive trees and cypresses. The holes wind through rolling slopes and require precision in the strikes, even if not excessively long-ranging.
The structure also hosts the “Villa Galeotti” hotel, which offers a splendid view of the grounds and the Valdinievole and is part of a complex dating to the 10th century that constitutes the Club House.
The Golf Club also offers intense sports activities: every week there is a competition backed by important local and national sponsors. The Montecatini Golf Club really is the ideal place to spend a relaxing vacation in close contact with Tuscan nature.
